In parallel with my main pursuits in the field of painting, I am also actively involved in experimental music and sound art. The theme of the current edition Buna provokes free authorial interpretation and interdisciplinary projects. For this I would like to participate with a musical performance within the festival together with my band KopfDerHund. The performance includes a performance of electric guitar, bass guitar and vocals with effects and musical arrangement and projection of author's photographs on the theme of man and nature. The music I've been working on with my band KopfDerHund in recent years is characterized by flux elements, references to classical music, experimental jazz and sound art. The emphasis is on free interpretation at the time of music creation. The duration of the performance is 40-50 minutes. Urban art has always sparked controversy, often used politically to legitimize power or for beautification with dubious aesthetic value. Granite and bronze monuments are polished to represent "eternal" values.

The exhibition shows a series of collages by the Varna artist Antonia Koleva. The works are created on the basis of specially selected, analog images, which the artist recreates in new narratives, reflecting contemporary themes, problems and challenges.

Multimedia installation and performance. The work introduces the concept of the "corporate-sublime", as defined by the artist, encompassing an imagined future - a post-anthropocene reality reminiscent of the bottom of the sea or the top of a mountain, while surrounded by a corporate-looking female entourage.

Gallery U10 (Serbia), presents two authors: Smilja Ignatović and Boyana Atlija.

While Boyana makes gentle interventions with gold in an urban environment, Smilya has prepared an exhibition with the ancient Japanese technique Gyotaku, in which images are transformed through real fish.

PURE /youth/ is an immersive performative installation that explores the influence of imagination and narratives on our perception of reality and on the relationship between the 'I' and 'the rest'. During PURE /youth/, the audience activates certain "living paintings", becoming a common composition with them. Each viewer's personal story interacts with the installation, so that visitors imperceptibly begin to explore the images they have built based on the sensations, feelings and emotions they experience "here and now".

KOKIMOTO Collection
As an artist, I am relatively well-known to the general public with an inimitable style and personal signature of expression, but with my passion for collecting, I remain still unknown.
For my urges to collect designer designer toys, you get snippets of information from various sources. You learned about my attitude to the preservation and storage of artifacts from the "Kingdom of Bularia" through my project in development, entitled "Superman", presented until recently in the space of KOP - Sofia. However, few relatives, colleagues, like-minded people and art connoisseurs are allowed access to my collection of contemporary Bulgarian and foreign art. But it's growing every day, and its overall profile and quality make it necessary to share it with a wider audience.

The thesis of this project is that an art-ecosystem relies as much on the balance between common artistic interests, priorities and respect for the other/the other as on the ability to find yourself in the whole - both the group and the stage; to control the frustrations of career, age, competition from without and within; to develop and maintain the ability to see oneself and one's practice as a point in which both the concreteness of the ego, of the Self, is concentrated, and the entirety of the complex and delicate ecosystem of interrelationships with other scenes and groups, with colleagues, friends is concretized , partners both here and there - around the world. 
ISI, the Institute of Contemporary Art - Sofia is one of the longest existing and active non-governmental organizations dealing with visual art in Bulgaria. It was conceived in 1993 and was registered as an NGO, an association of art critics and artists in 1995. Its history is closely related to the development of our art scene in recent decades, its self-education, opening and positioning in the world, with some of the most its notable appearances in local and international contexts.

For the first time, The Artist at Play will take place outside of Sofia as part of the Second BUNA: The Nature of Relationships. We will be presented with the experiments of 8 young artists - three from Varna, four from Sofia and one artist from Georgia. The theme of this edition is "SPACE", because with it we connect the two spaces of the community in Sofia and the one in Varna.

Voin de Voin was born in 1978. He lives and works in Sofia. He holds an MA from the DasArts Institute for Advanced Studies and Performing Arts, Amsterdam, and a diploma from the Gerrit Rietveld Academy, Amsterdam, Goldsmiths College - History of Art and Theatre, London, Ecole International de Cinema et Realisation (EICAR), Paris. He is a co-founder of the Institute for Performance and Theory together with Snezhanka Mihailova.
Since July 2016, he has been managing an independent art space in Sofia called ÆTHER. (Open art files)

Musical performance

Particles is a joint musical project between Viktor Prodanov - electronics and Tsvetan Momchilov - French horn, synthesizer, percussion and voice.

The sound is sporadically rhythmic and heavily processed, but also evolving, immersive and meditative. Acoustic instruments, voice, percussion are complemented and modulated by multiple effects, drum machine, sampler, creating a unique musical environment and experience.

They are not just green creatures that grow in our landscape, they are the living lungs and roofs of our planet, our dreams and inventions. Plants are a major part of the Earth's ecosystem and play an important role in the life of the planet both on land and In the water. Their developmental phases are an important aspect of the life cycle that reflects their adaptation to the environment and their ability to grow and reproduce in close proximity to humans.

SOUND 6 embodies an intersection where contemporary artistic expression intertwines music, light and image, thus illustrating the unique fusion of various creative pursuits.
The project gathers on one stage part of the Bulgarian formation The Science and half of the French-Bulgarian binomial Studio Otaika. In an audiovisual format, they link different media to explain how to recognize the elusive vibrations of the human heart.

Lecture by Vesela Nozharova on the beginning of contemporary art in Bulgaria, the first works in Varna and the role of Varna authors in the creation of modern expressiveness in our country.

A special guest will be Veselin Dimov, an author from Varna, cited as the first contemporary artist in Bulgaria. 

The lecture will take place in the Sea Garden, by the Crooked Tree meadow, but on the sea side.

Lecture by Borjana Rossa 

Boryana Rosa is an artist and curator, born in Sofia, 1972. She received her PhD and MA in Electronic Arts from Rensselaer University, Troy, New York 2012, and MA, Mural Painting from the National Academy of Art, Sofia. Rossa is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Transmedia at Syracuse University, New York.  

Most of her work has been shown at venues such as the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum, New York; Museum of Contemporary Art (MUMOK) Vienna; Zaheta Gallery, Warsaw; Sofia City Art Gallery; National Art Gallery, Sofia; 1st and 5th Biennale, Thessaloniki; Kunstwerke and Akademie der Künste, Berlin, 1st and 2nd Moscow Biennale of Contemporary Art; Institute of Contemporary Art, Sofia; Exit Art, New York, Sofia Arsenal - Museum of Contemporary Art, Sofia, 2018. The replacement of ideological and value paradigms appears in two different aspects in my city - either grotesque or comic. Over time, farces become part of the habitual behavior of people who adapt to them. The replacement plays with you, asking you questions and offering answers. I explore what happens visually and coded, focusing on the sense of the eternal that tests reality as a reflection of the social behavior of newcomers to the game. Laws, norms and values only change if something in the game changes. The feeling of replacement is wild, sweet, diverse and sometimes bloodthirsty. I cannot confirm whether this becomes part of the consumption structures of modern man, but it is clearly available with collected qualities in public life. The provocation I feel is not theatrical, but rather comic, dynamic and with its history.

trohi (Peter Parmakov and Ioana Robova) is an artistic duo from Sofia that works in the field of experimental music and sound design. Their approach is free, in their compositions they use a variety of acoustic instruments, analog and digital synthesizers, ambient recordings, heavily treated vocals and effects. In addition to periodic live performances, in the last ten years they have participated as composers and sound designers in various projects in the fields of theater, cinema, contemporary dance and performance, audio-visual installations, animated films and others.
